Welcome to the Preparation Exam for the Certified Scrum Master (CSM) Course.

Target Audience

This course's target audience is anyone interested in attaining the Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification through the Scrum Alliance. It can include Project Managers, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, development team members, or anyone wanting to add this certification to their resume.

Pre-Requisites

• We highly encourage attendees to either be familiar with the content that the CSM Exam tests on or complete prior courses in one of the following Scrum-related programs:

  • IBM IT Scrum Master PC

  • SkillUp Introduction to Scrum Master Profession

  • SkillUp Working as a Scrum Master

• These courses allow you to analyze and respond to questions you will likely encounter on the CSM test. This course does not describe or provide examples of the concepts included in the questions.

• Download a copy of the Scrum Guide from scrumguides.org. The test is based on information included in this guide. It is an excellent study reference.

• From the Scrum Alliance website: To access the CSM® test, you must first take an in-person two-day (16-hour) or live online (14-16-hour) Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM) course with one of our Certified Scrum Trainers (CSTs®.) Course attendance is required to earn the CSM certification; individuals cannot skip the training necessary to access the online CSM test.
